| | | | Decrypted updater binaries Hi, fairly new to the forums... and PSPs in general.
Couple of questions:
1) Assuming the updater application binary is encrypted/digitally signed, is there any way to obtain a decrypted version for analysis from a 1.5 PSP?
2) Is there any documentation on the PSAR (PSP Archive?) format?. I guess it contains the firmware image to be flashed and is encrypted also.
3) Has anyone looked at the possibilty that the updater goofs when parsing/extracting the PSAR? Or is it just a straight load file and checksum it?
4) Finally, has anyone looked at a malformed (FAT) filesystem on the MS? How does the PSP handle it?
Any sensible answers would be appreciated. |

| | | I'm looking for a decrypted dump of the updater application (I'm guessing its the data.psp inside the updater EBOOT) any version--if possible v2.6 as that's all my PSP will execute
Sorry if this type of request is not allowed on these forums. Hopefully someone can put me straight.
Cheers guys. | |
