I dunno exactly wether its right that theres a way to play socom on 1.5 but i thought i've heard about something like that in the past. I cant find it with the Forums search programm so it would be very nice if you can tell me wether i can and how.

No you cannot play socom on a 1.5. Use google next time

There is a few forums saying if you decrypt the eboot within the game and replace the prx files it loads

Well i have actually tried this and the game loads on 1.50 then freezes

You can, wasnt there a video on psp3d.com that shows a 1.5 psp
which plays socom. But i think i can remember you cant save, but its good enough to play the multiplayer thing...

the game wont play on my 1.50 like i say it just freezes and the video i am not sure
