So here's the deal...

Alright,

Well i bought my psp purely for homebrew, exploits, ect. last saturday at a Walmart. I updated to 2.5 unknowingly before I took a look online (Stupid me). So here is the deal, Im a very impatient person and I dont really feel like waiting around for a 2.5 downgrader. Before you go calling me a jerk, i also have a 90 day warrenty on it, yet i want to get it exchanged this friday for a 1.50. So if anyone can tell me how to purposely brick my psp, or if anyone wants to try out any potential 2.5 downgraders without any fear of bricking and such, please e-mail me or add me to msn (andy_korogyi@hotmail.com). I am willing to test my virgin 1.50 with the firmware launcher too when I get it. Thanks alot guys, and im really looking forward to the future of psp homebrew, exploits, hacks, ect

Sorry to say man, but they don't have virgin 1.5 PSPs at stores anymore. They ran out in about October or so.

well I hate to break it to you bud, but you can't just go out and but a 1.5 now. If you could, I'm sure veryone would try to return their updated ones or sumthin. But ne ways all the PSPs at the stores are 2.1s now, sorry

seriously? well thats too bad, i guess im going to have to sit tight and hope for a downgrader or some sort of back door. I have been reading from forum to forum and the likelyhood of a downgrader seems farther and farther away each day. With all honesty, and not beating around the bush or anything, what is the probability that a 2.5 downgrader will ever come? as far as all the processes are concerned, given firmware security, exploit fixes, ect. is it even possible to downgrade a 2.5?

Yea anythings possible...A firmware flasher is looking like the most worthwhile idea right now tho.

by using the firmware flasher, is the probability of bricking high? as opposed to if somone made a downgrader for the 2.5. after reading every page on the firmware flasher i still dont entirely understand what this could mean for the psp community. can somone just put it bluntly for me in like 2 or so words, without so much techno jargin please?

My gigapack was 2.0, maybe there is a difference between the states and Canada, it's been about 3 weeks since I bought it, maybe they turned over the stock.
