actually you can hex edit it, you just change the version from 2.00 to 3.00 and it'll run the PSP logo like its booting up, then you get an error. it doesn't work at all, so hes/shes just wasting his/her time

try this

if you do what you have done already and then follow this-->

u will need pbp unpacker

1 download of 2.6 eboot.pbp

extract data.psp from the 2.6 eboot.pbp file using pbp unpacker.

u also need 2.0 eboot.pbp

extract all the contents of this to a file typcly labled 2.0 using pbp unpacker

then in the new 2.0 file that has all the extracted files replace the data.psp file for the one from ver 2.6.

now use pbp unpacker to make a pbp file using these files in the 2.0 file.

u will now notice that it actually does load the firmware and then give a new message the key is to look at the mem stick light when you try your way and then wen u try my way .

THIS IS ALL NOT WORTH WHILE THO AS IT ONLY CLEARS PART 1 OF SONYS PSP SECURITY INOTHER WORDS ITS USELESS AT THE MO SOME PEOPLE HAVE GOTEN THROUGH PART2.

Regards
