EDIT: I also don't want an ETA, rather a report on the progress so I can formulate my own ETA.. |

Points: 2.27 Donate | | I THOUGHT I was going to leave this site .... Then I came back to check what you guys were up to and saw this post. Here's what Fanjita said in an earlier post, which I think is rather great
Fanjita: "BTW, last night I completed most of the work to re-merge the TIFF and GTA code, which means that a single version, built from a single codebase, now supports both methods of loading.
There's still a bit of work to do to convert some of the useful tricks used to clean the environment in GTA so that they also help clean things up more for TIFF (which ultimately should mean that the Quake 2 port works, for instance... ) but at least both versions are now back on the same page.
Incidentally, it looks like some of the bugs that affect the GTA loader are also present in the latest TIFF version, which means that what we'd hoped for is true - this is likely a bug introduced in some of the new code, and it should be much easier to debug via TIFF."
Hope this helps a bit |

| | | | So what does this mean? Has another exploit been found? Is there a chance for a downgrader or in this just some find that will make it more stable...? Thanks for any info. |

| | | | No, it means both are basically at the same level of development. | |
