| | | | Softmoding the X-box via the PSP This is an idea I've been toying with...most of the x-box softmod sites I have seen say that one needs an action replay device to softmod, but some say all you need is a USB female to x-box cable. If that is true, can you load the softmod software from a PSP in USB mode? Just wondering. I have ordered the correct cable, and have the needed version of Mech Assult. I await the cable. I was wondering if anyone had tried this with a PSP, as it would be at least a bit of a novelty, and save me from dealing with formating my normal USB drive(which is 10 gig, pulled from a laptop *_*) |

This is installed via a game save exploit to gain access to the kernel in the xbox, and thus again used to install some modified font files to execute the cracked os which will eventually run on it.
On the PSP we're still looking for the exploit at least for 2.01+, until it's found no equivalent softmod can be run on a PSP.... only through GTA...
close it up....

| | | | I'm not looking for the equivilant softmod for the PSP. I'm wondering if a PSP can work as the USB drive to softmod the x-box. |

But why would you want to do that anyway with a PSP. If the xbox is modded you can ftp files to it through your PC. If your looking to softmod the xbox, just get a friend with a modded xbox to save the gamesave exploit onto a xbox memory card or by a action replay as you said.
Anyway It's not really a topic for here.....

But even while using a fake bio, there's still a possibility of destroying the x-box. Just hardmod the thing you lazy bastards. And as for the psp to xbox idea sounds. It might work but the psp might not read the files making it hard to make the xbox recognize the files in the psp initially.
