| | Member | | | | Downgrade Idea..good or bad? Arite i downloaded 1.5 eboot (it dont just have to be 1.5, it could be any eboot) and i deleted all the its contents with wordpad. i also download the mph kit. you must put the overflow.tif in the root of the memory stick but you must also open the overflow.tif with wordpad and and copy all its contents and then place them in the empty eboot. In the overflow.tif file it says it will automatically launch the h.bin from the root of the memory stick. it looks something like this..ms0/h.bin or something like that. i changed it from h.bin to overflow.tif so that way it will automaticly launch the real overflow.tif from the root of the memory stick. to only problem is now i cant start the Eloader. Can someone else test this? Thank you a bunch.

i DO get that the overflow.tif is patched and that you cant make a downgrader with an HEX editor, but i don't need to read it EVERY TIME SOMEONE TRIES!
so STFU pls, and this goes to EVERYONE who allways says "it wont work" or "im a leet h4xx0r and i know best this wont work cuz <Insert favorute qouote here>" |

remember that the final eboot.pbp is like a password protetected zip...
sony signs each boot with a digital sha1 key, by scrambling bit's and "noping" a few hex's only screws the file up.
and i notice they have anouther check in 2 of the prx's itself, so once u get the key , decrypt the eboot , hex the changes re package it ,with a new key
and get it to start correctly half way thru the upgrade it fails anyway cause of the last check, um well the last check i can see , there may be more after that.
/me stoped going down that road...
