| | |  Possible 2.6 Downgrader In Progress
Hey. The title says it. I've been spending a few hours trying to create a downgrader for PSP 2.6 without GTA. I was thinking of ways to create a downgrader, and then I thought of game saves. So I uploaded all my PSP gamesaves to my computer and looked through them with Hex Workshop. To make this short and sweet, I opened a NBA gamesave and I noticed that in the param.sfo it says NBA.SAV. That loads the actual NBA gamesave. So of course I put an unmodified 2.6 setup eboot into the gamesave file and I changed NBA.SAV to eboot.pbp. I grabbed my PSP and put in the game. I went to gamesaves and the file WASN'T CORRUPTED!! It also said it was 19 megabytes in size, which is the right size for the eboot!!! I load the gamesave; the memory stick light flickers and then it says "Gamesave has no data". Anyways, I need to go but how can I get this to work? Do I just need some gamesave data? Any comments appreciated. Peace. |

Points: 10,011.96 Donate | | | The only hope for a downgrader for 2.01 , 2.5 or 2.6 is if some other exploit is found that can allow code to be run from and that it can write to the flash . Unfortunatly that hasn`t been found yet although some hackers are working on it .

Points: 15.68 Donate | | | a few hours is not enough it is not that easy. This takes months maybe years. I was on 2.01 and now on 1.5. This security is changed allot!! The overflow.tif doesnt work with 2.xx becouse it is encrypted. On 2.0 you must place the .h and .dat in the root and the overflow .tif in the photofolder. That part is encrypted and that was the only way to downgrade it.

The chances of 3.0 been hacked are very limited
Sony will have employed alot of experienced hackers to test its new firmware thoroughly
Thats why i believe its taking so long to be released... |
