Points: 0.86 Donate | | | coz im sure that im not the only person here that has a 2.01 that doesnt want to upgrade to a newer fw coz they have read that hacking 2.01 is possible
i for one dont want to upgrade to 2.5/6 on the glimmer of hope that some one will crack it |

I read in another thread where you said the only difference between 2.0 and 2.01 is that Sony fixed the .tif exploit in 2.01
My question is this...
If I put the MPH Downgrader on a 2.01 and found someway of making 2.01 execute the h.bin would It work or would I brick my PSP
Just wondering....  |

In principle, if you can get it to run, then it ought to work. The PSP has no concept of how to run the .BIN file, however - it needs to be launched by custom code that knows where to load it and how to run it - such as the code that is in the overflow.tif and background.png.
There's a reasonable chance of brickage if you attempt to run h.bin without knowing what you're doing, assuming that you find a way to run it in the first place. |

You answered a question I asked on another forum but no one seemed to be able to answer.
One thing though....
You've said before that things were looking up as far as getting code to run on 2.01
I was wondering if you could tell me which methods showed the most promise.

getting something running on 2.01 would be awsome
and something that actually works will be awsome
im sick of every week seeing a new 2.5 exploit that goes no where
wouldnt it be better to get a release out instead of all the faake 2.5 shit
im just wondering if there is ne truth with this new usb exploit they have found or is it yet again another bogus claim
i really hope some thing comes of 2.01
