Ok, I just have to ask this, it may be noob, but Just in case

I've posted before that I was thinking of getting GTA:LCS so I can have some Homebrew for my PsP FW 2.6, but I really need to double/tripple/quadruple check... It is 100% safe, right? Using the Eboot.Pbp, Emulators and roms on a psp. It has a 0% chance of bricking a psp, right? I'm just trying to play it safe, 'cause I doubt my parents will buy me another PsP if I brick mine (well, I guess I still have my one Year warranty).
Oh, and can someone explain to me the process of bricking PsP's? I'm interested how that happens. I know it can happen if a person downgrades improperly, or if they run an update and the battery dies.

Thanks.

It is 100% safe. But you must do some research about the homebrew apps you download. Scan it with a virusscanner first.

Ok, thanks, guys. I'm just 'gonna download Franjita's Eloader, and DarkJedi's Compliation of ROMs. That should be nice and safe right?

Oh, and if Sony DOES release a FW 2.7/3.0 or whatever... If I still want to play SOCOM infrastructure, I would have to up my PsP to the latest version right?

THERE IS NO WAY TO BRICK IT SINCE IT DOSENT HAVE ACCESS TO FLASH 0

it has been confirmed that you are able to write to flash1 but flash0 is only able to be read

and for your other Q, no you dont have to update to the latest fw to play socom, all you need is fw 2.0 or up

Ummmm... how about the most recent news of someone's 2.6 PsP bricking after playing with a Snes Emulator. Should I be concerned? X_X
I mean it seems like that guy's PsP really did brick. No one else has encountered his problem though, right? He was just the lucky man.
