| | | | Even if this is fake, who knows, perhaps this may reach one of the executives at sony or even better it may reach one of the editors of popular video game magazines which would criticize the updates and pretty much force sony to reform there approach on the home brew community.
The only issue is the game developers. Most PSP games arn't really that great but sony wants to keep people buying games to keep the feed on new titles. Homebrew is free. Sony doesnt want us to just download free games, they want us to keep purchasing new titles to keep the game developers happy. Many homebrew games offered for free are wayyyy better than any psp game released or any of the psp's built in features and it creates competition for the game developers. If you think about it, would you rather have a emulator for snes, n64, sega, gameboy advanced, nintendo, mame etc, for free or some of the latest games to hit the market for $49.95 which has better graphics but thats about it. Most new titles now a days have good graphics but where the graphics improve, game play, replay value, story line, etc all fail. The truth is, if more people knew about home brew emulators and games, everyone would choose those over the overpriced crappy new titles that sony wants to force us to continue to buy titles like the mainstream user they expect us to be. |
