It needs FULL Kernel Mode, which we haven't been able to access since 1.5

this program basically emulates any UMD iso you have using the PSP's RAM so no flashing is required.

It can't be... Even if it does not need kernel access it may need firmware 1.5 for some reasons! Its not a coincidence that it doesn't load on the eloader! I wish I'm wrong...

I see what ur getting at but...
I think u need some sort of kernell access to get it all working then it might use ram only... only a theory ... i dont know... anyway from my knowledge im almost 99.9% sure 1.5 is the only firmware to load iso's.

Flash is not the same as kernel.

Flash access is needed to change fundamental psp config info, such as the version number (i.e. downgraders). It is not required for ISOs.

Kernel access is needed for taking full control of the system and modifying system behaviour while it is running, i.e. ISO loaders.

On v2.0, we have full flash access but not kernel access. Hence downgrading is possible but not fastloader.

On v2.01+, we don't have write access to flash0 (hence no downgraders) and we don't have kernel access (hence no Fastloader).
