Terranigma is one of the best RPG's ive ever played, very emotional for me (it was years ago though). These are all SNES roms by the way. Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret Of Mana) and 3 (needs translations patches) - great squaresoft games, Breath of Fire 1, 2 and 3 (3 is a PSX game); Lufia II was a great game too (but 1 was absolute crap i think... too old for me).
Some other interesting SNES RPG's involve Evo (a game where ur a creature that progresses thru the evolution of life on earth, lots of action and PRETTY ADDICTIVE first time round). Ummm... that's all i can think of right now. I have a huge RPG pack on my other PC, most of which are JAP only releases with full english translations i managed to find after some skillful crawling
Front Mission! If u can get an english patch, its a FANTASTIC RPG/Strategy game (giant robots/mechs). Front Mission : Gun Hazard is great too.
