| RIN v1.32 Installation and Tips RIN v1.32 Installation and Tips
This guide is for Fanjita and Ditlew's new Brown Ale eloader. If you have anything you would like to contribute for running RIN on a different firmware version, please post. I am making guides like this because I like keeping questions from getting asked over and over from people who are new to PSP homebrew. Installation
1. Install Fanjita and Ditlew's Brown Ale eloader.
2. Download RIN v1.32 (or a newer version if it will work)
3. Open the folder you saved the .zip file in and extract the files.
4. Copy the EBOOT.PBP and RINMENU.PNG files to \PSP\GAME\RIN_v1_32
5. Make a folder named "ROMS" (or whatever you want to name it) inside of the RIN_v1_32 folder on your PSP.
6. Make a folder named "SAVES" inside of the RIN_v1_32 folder on your PSP.
7. If you want to use cheats with the emulator, make a folder named "CHEATS" inside of the RIN_v1_32 folder on your PSP.
8. Now copy any Gameboy or Gameboy Color (.gb or .gbc) ROMs to the ROMS folder inside of the RIN_v1_32 folder on your PSP. Running (For GTA Homebrew)
1. Load GTA as normal. Let it load your save game.
2. After it has fully loaded your save game, press Start and go to "Game" in the menu. Then go to "Load Game" under the submenu.
3. Select the eLoader from the save game list and load it. Proceed with loading when asked.
4. It will take a second or two for the eLoader to boot up. When the eLoader boots up, select and press X on RIN GB/GBC EMULATOR
5. RIN_v1_32 will now load and bring up the file browser for you to find a rom to play. Find your ROM folder and load whatever rom you want to play.
6. The game will now run. Just press the L button during gameplay and it will bring up the emulator menu. From this menu you can change settings, load a different ROM, and Save or Load game states. Settings for Games
Luckily, with this emulator, there isn't much slowdown (or at least none I have encountered) so you don't have to sacrifice battery life (turning up the PSP clock) or the flow of the gameplay (frameskip). I would recommend that if you do have some slowdown to gradually try turning up the frameskip.
If anyone has something they would like to add to this, just post. If anyone has a question, just post and ask and I will try to help. |
