Angry NeoGeo CD Woes

I am 'fortunate' enough to be blessed with a v2.01. I have Fanjita's Brown Ale up and running on my baby playing all my old school Snes and Genesis childhood faves. I've managed to put the NeoGeoCDpsp1.8 emu along with the Bios on but the problem that I'm having at the moment is the emu not loading/recognising the ROMS.(Metal Slug and NeoTurf Masters) So that I can be as descriptive as possible I tell you what I can see on the screen and where I've placed the Roms...ok:

Roms: are in a separate folder in the NeoCDfolder. I've extracted them using WinRar and are in an 'Iso' format in this folder. Please also note I originally left them in their .BIN format also and the emu never recognised that either.

Screen: after the rather snazzy NeoGeo Intro screen (with all the various characters), I get a blue screen. On the left side I can see the following file names:

..
Fonts/
MetalslugRom/
NeoBios/
Neoturfmasters/

When I highlight a particular option I just get '..' in the top left with no other options. At which point all I can do is press 'O' to go back. I can exit the emu without any problems.

Any one have the same problem and sorted it? Any feed back is welcomed...

No, you can use the newest ones. In fact, those work the best. Make sure you extract all of the contents of the ISO file (of the game you are using) and put it in its own folder under neogeocd. So say I jhsut extracted all of the stuff from the iso for Metal Slug. You would then put/extract this under PSP/GAME/neogeocd/Metal Slug. Hope this helps, if not there are plenty of threads about it over at pspupdates forums.

Update:I down loaded the new version fine. A very nice version and easy to use. The Roms still refuse to load. The Bio menu works BUT within that I also get a black screen with Japanese options..have no idea what they are!!? Any idea how to change this to English?

How can something so simple be so difficult..Dgen and Snes were a walk in the park..

Any ideas from those using the new emulator?

OK!! I've changed the lauguage! Just need help with making the roms work!!

Peace!

It really isn't that difficult... Well, as for the bios japanese thing, those don't really matter. Just press L to get back to the menu. There is something in the config you need to turn to Yes (=Y) or maybe On (=on), but I forget what. If you havn't done that already then look into it (you can change it from the L options menu).

Some sites which state neogeo are the earlier version and dont work with the CD emulator. things like Samurai showdown for example.

Metal slug is CD, but yeah, other ones are for the normal neogeo emulator

Thumbs up Thanks guys..

Heh guys thanks for all the help and support! Top boys! I'll try this out in the morning as its late here in the UK..

Beast- respect for the pics bro..helped massively..I can kinda see where I've gone wrong..I think I missed some of the files from the NeoCd.bin file.

Edit - Got it to work!!! YES!! I know what the problem was..the clue was in the second pic attachment from Beast. I noticed my inside the TurfMasters folder there wasnt any of the unziped files..unzipped it again using Winrar at home..Bingo.
