But thats the 2.0 tif exploit as such.. well.. the downgrader story ... not the actual tif exploit story ..

Points: 5.88 Donate | | | i meant the 1.5 exploit....i know that when sony first made the psp, it had version 1.00 which was designed to run all EBOOTS(for downloadable demos). but then when they found out that people were making their own EBOOTS, they patched it with 1.5. How can we run EBOOTS with 1.5? whats the flaw in the firmware.
thats what i meant....

After many failed attempts of the Mswap tool, I have devised my own method of converting the older homebrews to work on our beloved 1.5 PSP's.
This requires PBP Unpacker, a 1.5 PSP, and a USB cable OR Memory Stick Duo Reader on your PC. You can devise your own method after reading how I did mine, this is much easier and less painstaking in my opinion, than following the PSP-Dev B Method guide included with MSwapTool. (Kudos to them for figuring out to exploit, though. But this renders MSwapTool useless, sorry guys!)
1) Download your desired homebrew (For Examples Sake we will say we have SNES9x for PSP) This zip or rar you recieve should have only one EBOOT.PBP file and a readme.
2)Lets organize our workspace, Make a folder on your hard drive, name it anything you want and PUT THE EBOOT.PBP IN THAT FOLDER, for Example we will have SNES9x as the folder in your C drive. (Henceforth referred to as C:\SNES9x)
3) Create 2 folders, SNES9x% and SNES9x (C:\SNES9x\SNES9x% and C:\SNES9x\SNES9x should be the proper path)
4) Now the fun part! Open up PBP unpacker (assuming it is installed, if not then install it, then run it), and click the big button that says "Open"
5) You should now see a graphic, and below it- 3 Files: PARAM.SFO , ICON0.PNG, and DATA.PSP
6) Right click PARAM.SFO, hit Extract, and save it in your C:\SNES9x Directory.
7) Right click ICON0.PNG, hit Extract, and save it in your C:\SNES9x Directory.
Cool Right click DATA.PSP, hit Extract, and save it in your C:\SNES9x Directory.
9) Right click DATA.PSP again, hit Extract, and save it in your C:\SNES9x\SNES9x directory as EBOOT.PBP.
10) at the top of PBP unpacker, Click File->New PBP
11) Not much to worry about here, go to the PARAM.SFO box and click the 3-dotted button, then locate your C:\SNES9x directory and put the PARAM.SFO file you extracted from the eboot in there, hit open.
12) Go to the ICON0.png Box that is right next to the PARAM.SFO box you just inserted a file into. Click the 3-dotted box in the ICON0.png box, and locate the ICON0.PNG you extracted. Hit open to close out that.
13) After we have our PARAM and ICON0 opened in there, Click on the big SAVE button on the toolbar, Save it as EBOOT.PBP in c:\SNES9x\SNES9x% directory.
14) Here is where the memory stick comes into play.
15) Insert the memory stick into the psp or memory card reader on your PC, Double click the PSP folder on the stick, go into GAME folder by double clicking it. Look for your C:\SNES9x\ directory in a new window, copy the 2 folders and paste it into your PSP\GAME\ folder on your memory stick (SNES9x% is where you would drop any roms in here that you would want to use)
16) go over to the Game icon, then memorystick, choose your program, and you are off!
