Sry but not yet... If I make A flowchart we could keep it organised and design it faster. How do you send device codes in IR?

Idkfawin32 i have scripted a basic ir program:

* takes in ir signals from remotes.
* prints them on screen.
* trys to send them out

but if i make the signals send they dont seem to do anything
have you found out why yet?

I hope someone can tell me why its not functioning correctly...

Thats about the same thing I did but mine writes the signal out line by line.
@#!&^@
!@)#*&$!)(@*$
!@
@#!@#
!@
And then the signal is read line by line and sent line by line to simulate the signal. But I dont have any luck yet. I am thinking about switching over to C. Or if possible we are staying in LUA and using device codes. I dont know why ... The remote sends hex but I get *)@&#!(*^^!@(*#&)!@ junky stuff. Does it have to be decoded somehow. hmm

there you go jumping straight to the coding part again

but nothing wrong with a few test right...

so here goes remember the irda is just anouther block device, so you can send chars to it exactly like you would a file
int fd = sceIoOpen("irda0:", PSP_O_RDWR, 0);
int char //this could be a static var or a db lookup 'the string you want to output
then
sceIoWrite(fd, char, 1);

just saw yer top post,

you are sending the ascii codes to the ir, but its expecting bytes, need to do sum formating there ...

just a thought, Idkfawin32 do you think that the characters could be replaced with the hex codes that resemble them on a pc?
if this is true then i could implement a replacing function...

i am including the tools i used while deving my last ir prog

ir.exe is a pc side "decoder" useful also to convert raw data to hex
also check out the .xls file most of the protocols are in there.

by rites the irda should accept normal hex keys and do the conversion for you
but never convert the returned codes back to ascii , u wil miss alot of bits that way...

here is a simple DB
