Points: 0.64 Donate | | | version changer 2.01+ chances? What are the chances of a program such as sony x teams version changer coming out for psp....
for those who dont know what it is its a program which when loaded changes your psp version until it is turned off or sumat like that
so what i was thinking is what if we made a version changer to change our versions,it doesnt have to go down for example it could go from 2.01-2.50/2.60 or 2.50-2.60.etc
or of course we could go down like 2.50-1.50 / 2.01 - 2.00 and so on!
but my question is could this in anyway work???
i mean sxt version changer runs on the eloader but of course does not change the version when you choose which one you want

Points: 0.64 Donate | | | yeah its just with downgrading there's a high percentage you will brick your psp so i figured if you used a version changer then you would have everything without the risks but i guess its not possible :'( |

Points: 1.22 Donate | | | With downgrading there is as much chance u'll brick ur psp as there is when you upgrade to another firmware.
You'd need to change the firmware version # to a lower, say...... 1.0, then run the 1.5 upgrade.
But yeah, as stated above, to change the # you need access to the flash, and if we had access to the flash..... there wouldnt be an issue

Originally Posted by BladeMaster what about the new TIFF vonurilibility? might that help any? | First off, dont bring up old threads, second to answer your question even with the new Tiff exlpoit you cannot change the version number on a 2.50-2.80, if you did you would either end up with a brick or your psp would be numberless which will cause probs, the reason that would happen is because the 2.50-2.80 psp IPL checks to make sure the version number is valid in numerous ways so we cant bypass it, so yes we can flash an older version number, but it wouldnt accomplish anything. |
