Would this be possible?

Alright, I had this idea for a very loooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnngggggggg time, it was to run homebrew off the save data. I never said anything because I thought it would be impossible, but then I saw Edison Carter make a Cheat Device for the LCS game.
Well, my idea was very much like his. If someone could encode something like an emulator onto a "Universal" Save Game (I say universal because if it wasn't, only a specific game would load it). While you're playing in-game, you would go to load a different save game, and load the hacked save game, which encoded in it is an emulator, and thus running the emulator.
But would that even be possible? Maybe someone could get in touch with Edison Carter and work on a way to do this.
Could it work?

I think that this is possible because the edison carder cheat device works in the background and so you could have homebrew running in the background and launch an emulator, etc.. You could then have a saved data exploit. I THINK YOUR RIGHT! i have also had this idea too...

On the other hand, this does sound like a good idea, BUT, there is no such thing as a "universal save game," though I get your point. I do not have GTA, and thus am not familier to the cheat device. If you (or someone else) could explain exactly how this cheat works. Do you use the cheat on the psp? Or is it done through save game modification on the computer? Or, maybe it's a hidden turkey sandwitch with extra mayo....uck.

The Save Game from Edison Carter works like this, you download it through your PC and transfer it to the PSP/SAVEDATA folder. Then you start the game, once it's loaded, you go to the "Load Game" thing to load a different save file, and you load the one you just downloaded aka the Cheat Device. It then opens up a menu while you are playing, it has setting to turn on/off. Say you wanted infinite health, well on the menu it says, Inf. Health OFF, you go to it and press X and now it says ON, and the cheat is activated.
The menu shows up while your playing, you can see it as you walk around and stuff. You can close and open the menu by pushing L1 and up at the same time. It's an awesome cheat device.
As for the "Universal Save Game" someone might be able to encode it so that any game can load it, but it might be a bit hard because newer games might be different.

Wow. That is a good cheat device. Congradulations to Edison Carter. This may have some potenial, but GTA is the only game so far to have this produced. It could be a GTA only thing, and may only be an interpriter, like LUA, and not a spot to exicute true code.

i just dont think you could reencode a save file to be universal think about its like giving it multiple file extensions the only way you can do that is to reencode the actuall psp which is being worked on by the downgrader ppl but hey if u can come up with an idea to use a save game to edit the firmware that would work

Send a message via AIM to hacker3.0 Send a message via Yahoo to hacker3.0
