brick to fix

what would be useful is if wenew exactly how sony repaired its bricked psps that were sent in for repair any insiders?

High possibility they do it by booting from the memstick. I can tell you ppl why if you're interested.

They just repaired the BIOS hardware of the PSP (by changing hwly it). So just get the SONY tools (I think around $15,000 for an micro-electronical commander) to 'micro-unlock' the fw hardware and change it by a new (that you'll have to steal it from a clean psp).

If it's bricked you have to do an hardware operation [like changing the EEPROM which contains the BIOS and original fw].

It's not just an eboot Mc... it's a complete EEPROM which cost like 10c but we'll need to cfg and code it, and ship it like $10/p around the world... easy money, cheap business, yeah dude.

Is anyone making an unbricker for the psp cos that would more or less mean upgrading and downgrading on what ever verison youve got by reflashing your psp.
