An Exploit *idea* (NOT AN EXPLOIT!)

I used search and couldn't find anything like this posted so I am posting it. Is it possible to have a psp 1.5 use the game sharing feature to send a homebrew game and run it to a 2.01+. Sounds pretty pointless but just curious.

Game share only shares the game in your UMD drive, So me thinks it wouldnt work.

Hmm..

Not a terribly bad idea, if you were able to extract an iso on a 1.5, replace the gameshare files with something to try and exploit the psp, then game share. Im not sure if its been tried or what you'd try and exploit, but if you were to try it with a huge ammount of data you might get an overflow. Might be worth looking into as such.

(using an iso loader like umd emulator or something)

i dont think it would work. if u sent if its the same as just puting the files on your memory card in the first place. it still wouldnt load them. it will always say they r corrupt on a 2.01+ psp at this time. plus i never have goten game share to work wat games does it work on? i cant find any. i dont think they r homebrews that work with it tho

nah not syaing that homebrew would work. But yeah, thinking about it, it prolly just copy's a demo eboot across, rather than like........ loading it into memory at the time.

There are a few games which have game share. The con, Burnout, Wipeout,

But yeah, id say it copy's a demo file across, then loads it, rather than directly loading it into memory, Oh well.

What you could do is extract the file'n'maybe play it off ur memory card. Like a demo of the game as such. becuase with game sharing when u reset the psp it goes.

The only way I could imagine this possible is somebody with a 1.5 could downgrade yours with his through overflowing with gameshare. So you would need a friend with a 1.5. Is it possible to send a gameshare signal(ad hoc) through a router. I dont think its possible but I am not a professional at wireless stuff.

Game Sharing is a feature that is nearly identical to the DS's "DS Download Play." Basically, a PSP transmits a small game via Wifi, and the receiving PSP stores it in memory until it is turned off.

... WTF? Game Sharing is something done from a specific game, not for any homebrew or anything. For example, Namco Museum Battle Collection lets you Game Share some of the minigames.

I am just seeing if there can be a custom iso that shares a downgrader with a higher firmware so it could downgrade.
