| | | | error 80410A0B error solution There are several people out there that have had this error occur when trying to use the wireless connection. this error is not software based and has nothing to do with the wireless settings.
I do have a solution that can fix this error but it is not for the faint of heart and if your psp is still under warrenty you should contact sony and have them replace it for you.
If you are not under warrenty like I am then there is only one thing to do, take apart the PSP.
Once you take off the front cover you may see some corrosion on the bottom left side of the main board at first, carefully remove that, now flip the board over you will see the on board battery, mine was heavily corroded and I had to replace that as well. Now continue the dissassembly of the psp to the wireless card. When you remove the wireless card there will be and additional smaller card that is on a solder point connection on that piece you will see a metal box. remove the top of this and if you have skill or a friend with skill have him desolder this and remove all of the corrosion/rust there.
After reassembling everything you can go to the wireless setting and the light will come on again and you will once again be able to use the wireless networking again.
If there is anyone that wants to host them I took pictures of the locations of the corrosion/rust spots so you can have a better idea about what I am talking about. |

Also at least for me this was a complete fix, not a way to rig it like the turning off the power, which may not work at all. I was doing that but after a couple weeks nothing would make it work again.
I would also venture to say that some people will not be able to use this at all if the wireless card has burned out completly from the shorts. |

| | | | I find it entertaining that none of you realize the main point here is to show what REALLY causes the 80410A0B error is there are many people that ask for help and get people telling them to try things that have nothing to do with the cause of the error. I offered what it will take to repair it yourself. If you think you cant do it or are afraid to then dont do it, plain and simple. When you are faced with this error dont wait and take advantage of your warrenty, like I said at the begining. If you dont have one anymore and are willing to open it on the chance that you can repair it I simply gave the instructions.
If it is no longer under warrenty and you do this you havent lost anything if it doesnt work. Put it back together and send it back. They are still going to have to replace either the main board or the wireless card or both, so the resulting price for repair will be the same even though the sticker is removed (if you have a fridge and "canned air" there is a way to remove the sticker and still be able to return it back so it looks like it was never removed). |
