The PSP has flash memory right? The thing with flash memory devices is that when you leave it for a long time without a battery, since flash memory has no solid basis like the hard drives we know, its power runs out and it deletes everything on it! I had a Sony PDA, and i left it lying for a month, then when I reopened it, all the software I installed was gone, with my settings. Can this happen with the PSP, erasing the firmware and setting it to its original firmware at the time it was purchased? There are three possibilities:
1- No change happens, we find out that firmware has deep roots within the system, (likely)
2- The PSP bricks (not at all likely)
3- The PSP is restored to its original fw (unlikely but possible) |

| | | | Or maybe a 1.00? Because it never gets totally destroyed, my PDA didn't brick, it was restored to the state it came out of the factory. |

| | | | This idea is fundamentally flawed, since flash memory is NOT RAM. Flash memory does not lose it's data if it has been without electricity. RAM however does. So no, this will not work. |
