Another way of downgrading? just a suggestion!

Ok I'm not a total noob with the PSP, but I do have at least a brain. Do you think there is any possible way to like open up the PSP, as in unscrewing it and stuff like that, then finding sum kind of little button or sumthin that would just restart the whole system and put it back to 1.00? now wouldn't that be kool?

I'm sure there has to be something like that!!

Any suggestions on this??

I mean...impossible...only a way : switching the rom chipset with another with 1.0 firmware.

well how much are 1.00 firmwares? like 100 dollars? I think I'd be willing to pay that much to play old games and crap, where could you buy stuff like that ne ways?

I don't know if that has been tested, but that might not work either. It is very possible that there are some unique identifier in the ROM and somewhere else in the PSP (CPU for example would be a good place to put that), and checks against that. Then again there might not be such a check.

And then you'd just need really awesome soldering skills and equipment to desolder SMC-components
