is it possable to make our own system firmware update if so why dont people make 1 that will alow homebrew on it and let you play all firmware games.
u should make and eboot firmware 8.00 or something that will alow evreything what do u think???  |

Through the EBOOT Loader it doesn't work beause we need Kernel Acces.
On FW 1.5 it was Possible. |

Points: 0.30 Donate | | | two things, as it was said, you cant develope own firmware because we need the special firmwarecode. You can make it think this is a 8.0 update, but after you upgraded it will be the original eboot. seccondly. the problem with 1.5ers trying to play 2.6ers games aint that the pspgame recognizes the firmware version, because that can be changed. Its the different encryption of the games! |

higher version firmwares bring new features faster raster better engines..etc
trying to run a game that rellies on thise new features just dont run on a firmware that doesnt have the capabilies...hence needing the prx's from the orignal umd to run mph game loader....
u wont need sony's key "IF" you had the time and knowledge and r&d to write your own firmware....
but theoriticaly if we had a hardware flash tool ,it would be possible to have a custom firmware run iso's webs anything not even checking for eboot sigs ..
but ja.. after fanjita's joke im in no mood to actualy elaborate more..

and the 2.6 game doesnt fail because it needs a key,.. it needs features not yet in the older firmware..
