Points: 30.02 Donate | | | I've got the nerdly facts on how wifi, ir, and other things are loaded from the flash (I think. I'm not positive, but fairly sure). These files are all .prx's and other encrypted file extentions. So, the e-loader can't just copy them to ram and have them run. Instead, it tells the bios (or maybe the XMB, one of the two) to access [some number] of bytes, starting at [start of prx file in flash 0]. The bios (or XMB) auto-decrypts the prx as it is copied to ram. SO the problem is finding at what address the prx file is, and which ones are needed. Also, the E-Loader patches eboots as they are loaded to point to these prx's in ram, instead of the ones in flash0.
I've tried looking for the thread in which this was explained to me, but can't find it. My appologies, if any of this is wrong, but I don't belive so. I'm only relaying what I remember.
