okay i thought this thread was sorta a good thread for asking my question, so here it is, im trying to learn programming and stuff, and (im going off of what cprogramming.com says) i downloaded this program, now i can't get it to work, i did exactly what they did (like the pic. shows,what i typed, and what the site has)so what happened?(here the pic, it shows the errors at them bottom)

too big? we cant even see the picture! and i dont think youll find a bunch of real files, too many n00bs. i know most C++, but im still learning.

I have no idea why they showed it like that, you should put the file declaration on the same line as you #inlcude statement. I just ran the program here, and as soon as I did it voila a boring program!

is there any math involved in programing or is it jus mathematical logic statements...also which 1 shuld you satrt with if your jus learning vb or c

For my programming diploma the very first programming course you take is C. You don't even really see vb until 4th semester, and even then its by choice. I think c is a better starting ground for you, and start as basic as you can find and work your way up.

*EDIT* And yes there is math involved, when you get into more advanced years, there are data structures and algorithms, and depending where you go to school they may require calculus and statistics courses aswell among other things (the % modulus symbol for example) and of course basic math.
