So.. I just went out and bought "fight night" pretty excited to get home and play it, i get home stick the umd in and it tells me i cant play without updating to 2.6!!!! im on 2.01, and have been very hesitant to do this in the past in hope of a downgrader. Is there any way to get round this? or should i just upgade?

dude 2.01+ all have the same syscalls nearly. So if a downgrader comes out most likely it will work on 2.6 too. If sony misses a glitch in the 2.01 firmware then more than likely they will miss it on 2.6 too. So just update.

Thanks for the comments guys, i upgaded and so far other than gta its the best game on the psp ive played, now i want to play some one i know, so if any one on here has it let me know!

I upgraded from 2.01 to 2.6 so I could play Capcom Classics Remixed and SF3 Alpha..Nothing has changed...I'm still able to play ALL my homebrew and all the new games too. Unless you have a 1.5 or 2.0 do it..To be honest the only reason I can see people still holding on to their 1.5/2.0's is to play ripped games from MS and a few apps.. I haven't seen any other advantages that out weigh having a 2.01+.

Any other views on this...
