well i bought my psp and it came with v2.5.

I tried installing the very first eloader and it would load the menu up and if u selected a game it would crash.

Exactly the same would happen with brown ale so I kinda gave up on the whole 2.5 homebrew idea until either a downgrader or a modchip or summat come out but thought id have another crack today so after some help lol.

Ive downloaded the super bock alternative eloader and after a bit of messing ive actually managed to get quake to load and run which im well chuffed about.

Only problem is if i choose somethign else to load (tried a few now that are on the lists of working with 2.5) the screen just goes black and after 30 secs or so my psp restarts.

Anyone got any ideas cus its even more frustrating now ive got so close than when I was a million miles away from homebrew.

Ok, first of the BETA, that would only load a game 1/30 times for some people. Now I recomend (formating your card in your psp, so it deltes all your file and just leaves the folders) then instal Bock (go to fanjita.org, and I think it is the second one down). Then put all your homebrew in the game folder....

cheers, will give formatting it and trying it again a go later, still got the bock installer on my laptop so shouldnt take too long when i get chance

no, it should be a fairley quick procces....and if that doesn't work, i highly recomend eLoader .96. I was really happy with that one and I can send you the installer, I have it saved in my yahoo acount so i never loose it...

Havent tried 96 i dont think, know ive still got 95 on my pc but that was even worse than 97, couldnt get anything at all to load other than the menu then it would just hang as soon as i selected something

hmmm still having problems.

Finally got round to formatting my memory stick and its exactly the same

any other ideas?

Hmm... I never had that problem... Ever...

Just a couple of Q's...
1. Did you use the Windows installer package?
2. Does the eLoader load as soon as you start GTA?

try this go to fanjita.org and search for bock, there wil be a orange link eLoader 0.9.7 - Bock and the rest will follow try it and if you dont want it to auto start just copy/past an working gta savegame in your savefolder good luck with it.

it alwaysworks fine with me now
