What romaNce means is that its not that simple to hack the PSP.
You cant just change the photo in the eboot and expect it to automagically run code on the PSP that would provide us with either a downgrader or loader.
Work must be done, this must be analyzed very closely to understand what, if anything can be done with this to execute code on the PSP...that takes time.
This libungif exploit has not been confirmed on the PSP. Although it has executed code on a PC, it has yet to do anything on the PSP.
There are talented people working on this right now, but even if this GIF thing does turn results, its only a means to an end. You cant just go randomly sticking it places and try to see what happens.
Think about it like this. Take the 2.0 downgrader for instance. It required the overflow.tif file to execute h.bin, which made use of the modified index.dat
The overflow.tif by itself does nothing.....useful. Thers way more to it than that but you get the picture.
