Just a thought....

I know every1 will prob flame me for this but has any1 looked into the Roco Loco demo that is available to download from the japanese psp site. Its a demo that is just an eboot that will actually run on 2.7 firmware psp's. Is it not therefore worth looking into how that can run from the memory stick!?!?!? (Don't flame me.... I am very stupid)(Probably)

It's impossible to get it to run on other firmwares or use it to import code to make it downgrade, because of sony's key. But you never know what could happen.

I was'nt thinking on the lines of a downgrade. I was thinking everybody upgrade to 2.7 and then find out how roco loco can boot from the memory stick. A good bit of hex editing should show up the differences between a standard UMD eboot and the roco loco eboot. Maybe its impossible im not sure.... Would be sweet though!! Full homebrew and backup game support on the latest firmware!!!!

Well obviously u wudnt upgrade to 2.7 unless anybody sorted it lol. Apparently Roco Loco Demo needs 2.7 to run. And it runs from the memory stick. Im not saying upgrade ur firmware now. Im def not going to but, wot I will do is try looking at the differences between a umd eboot and the rocoloco eboot. (There must be a difference to allow it to run directly from the memory stick).

its the same way update eboots run from the memory stick, they've been signed and sealed by sony.

Running eboots from the memory stick is possible, its just they need to be legit sony ones. The demo is a legit sony file.

As soon as someone edits the file, it changes, becomes unsigned as such and wont run anymore etc
