well yea but then how does the psp recognize the code if its not there?

Sony uses a private key to encrypt the file, but the PSP uses one of its built-in public keys to decrypt it.

and what about to find one of the built in key?

That would be in flash0 (I assume) so someone with a 1.5 could find that key and then decrypt the file right?

Decrypting the file has never been a problem. We have to encrypt files if we want to be able to run them, and that's simply not possible.
