Good Idea, but even if we could possibly get the update on a umd, it wouldnt matter cuz it would still be the same as swapping mem sticks with 2 different updates. So good idea but its a no go..

What about doing the update (2.0) from the game? People are retarded to think u can write to the umd, but u can always downgrade .......

but either way, it'd be pretty tricky to load the updater after booting up the game

You cannot run updates from GTA because they require kernel acess

I don't know if this would work, but if someone has say a 2.50 PSP with a game like Worms which requires 2.6 to run they could select the Update from the Game menu. Then, they could quickly switch UMD's with a game that has the 2.0 Eboot on it and hopefully it would run...

Just gussing - probably been tried and failed

this is stupid. the only chance is possibly ape escape academy since it has a 1.5 update on it. yes. in america they have the update for 1.5 which was on the psp when we get them. that is messed up and is asking for a hack. better yet get a gp2x and stop with the bad homebrew. also the 2.7 update made the gta exploit not work. this is because they changed the ability for games to write to flash. (i assume). or at least that game in particular. so if you have 2.7 this isn't even a possibility.

Yep, the GP2X looks cool, no resrictions to homebrew, and you could update it and still have 100% homebrew.

r y'all stupid or really stupid?

gta has a 2.0 update on it.
gta is cracked.
there could be a way to load the 2.0 update off of that disc.
then use the mph downgrader to get a 1.5 psp.
no mem. card switching.
(duh) (stupid noobs)

closed.

ps:
fanjita wont make the downgrader i bet because then all his hard work with the eloader will be useless.
