downloading games on a japanese 1.5 version

hi i wonder if anyone can help me i have a japanese 1.5 psp and have some games on discs to download. (its a christmas present for my son) i am totally lost and dont know how to get the games on to the psp.
I noticed there are some programmes on the disc i think win ace and i have tried every way possible to put the games onto the memory card but all has failed.
The memory card is totally blank but i was able to put a film on and some music.
Please help and keep it as simple as you can because i am not to up to date with the pc
thanks Keith

ok plug psp into usb port(make sure you format memory stick first). Then download something called kxploit. you can find this at www.psp-hacks.com in the download section. Then download winace(if u dont already have it). Then download some homebrew games from www.psp-hacks.com in the download section. Then once the file is downloaded, extract it using winace. Then, open up kxploit and follow the directions(i.e. take the eboot file you downloaded and use kxploit to convert the file into the v1.5 form. Two files should be remade in the "games" folder of the E:/ drive. Then put all the other files that came w/the download and put it into the first file(the file that has no % signs in the name). Then you should be able to run the homebrew.

Hope this helped,
mfaheypride
