PSmonkey (coder) the creator of Monkey64 and Iris has released a new alpha build of his 3D game for PSP called iris. 
The game is also modable which i think will hold up highly interesting. Quote: |

There has already been a starwars mod for this game and you can download Q2 models I believe.
Are you sure this is the first 3D homebrew? I think there was something else, but I may be wrong. |
