Hello guys,
I know its my first post I shouldnt be starting a new thread straight away but I could not resist myself as I found that apparently an Undiluted Platinum: Firmware Replacement Chip for Sony PSP is on its way.

Welcome to psp3d.

I'd be very surprised if we ever saw a psp modchip. If you've ever modded a console you'll know that one of the reasons for this is that they're just too damn big and the psp just doesnt have enough space.

I have modded my xbox and ps2 in the pas myself and I am aware how big the chips are.... Its a surprise that they could make one of them for the PSP.
Who cares if its big or not... As far as it fits well and does what we want it to do...we are sorted!!

The news also says that they will have more info next week.
I ll be waiting for that.

brings a smile to lot of faces as the chip looks quite genuine...
Remember doing ur sony PS2 with these Actel modchips!!

People with 2.0+ firmware's have some hope at last.

this is rather interesting because it says so you can run unsigned code on ANY fw
edit: driv3r 2.01+ has homebrew already

This is the whole point of modchips to run unsigned code....
I believe they will have an external harddrive attached to the PSP with games to run from the HD itself.
Whether it will be Homebrew only or even ISO's, only time will tell.
