| | | | Okay, now everybody who's saying "you can't downgrade from 2.5/2.6!" , take your time and read my previous post again.
You'll notice I'm talking about 2.01, not the higher firmwares. The same 2.01, which is the same as 2.0, but with the tiff exploit patched. The one without the new index.dat. |

| | | | ha. I didnt make 2 mistakes twice then (maybe) I upgraded to 2.01 (thought it was 2.0) about 2 months ago. and now i may be able to downgrade since i didnt upgrade again. |

| | | | Maybe. Maybe not. If nobody with more knowledge then I responds to this thread, and none of the good hacker/coders are looking into a 2.01 DG, even if its possible, then we probably will never be able to downgrade 2.01. |

| | | | hehe that would suck in a way. but funny too because there is a leaso in all of this. DON'T UPGRADE!!! or if you bough the psp with that firmware, SHOULD'VE BOUGHT IT EARLIER!!! |

| | | | Heh, I couldn't afford it earlier.
Someone should see if they can make a .bin file, with the code from the tiff-exploit that made the PSP think it was 1.0 so you can upgrade to 1.5, following the following restrictions:
- Must be linked to load to address 0x09fc0000
- Entry point must be 0x09fc0000
- Your application is responsible for determining its own syscall IDs - the
standard NID stub method for linking with the system will not work.
- Maximum theoretical supported size of 64k - the real maximum may be
somewhat smaller.
That *should* work on 2.01. |

| | | | I thought it could access the same things the tiff exploit could on a 2.01 and lower. Probably wrong, then. Thanks. |

Downgrading or ISO loading WILL be made possible but it is a matter of when . I also think that they should concentrate more on 2.01 (Not 2.50 or 2.60) because all new PSP`s are coming out with that FW and ppl who have 2.50/2.60 upgraded them themselves . | |
