You just want kernel-mode to run ISOs, that's all. If Fanjita can work it, then he'll get a special ebootloader running via GTA: LCS for everyone on 2.5.

Thats exactly what my point is: its not going to happen on anything *higher* than 2.01, since things have changed too much for that on 2.5 and 2.6.

They haven't on 2.01, so it may not work on anything higher, but it may still work on 2.01 itself.

What I'm saying is, we know the GTA exploit lets us run code in user-mode, just like the tiff exploit. We know you can run bin files with it, just as the Hello World app shows. If someone can put the code that the tiff exploit runs to get you to downgrade in a bin file or something similar, and run it through the GTA exploit, wouldn't that run the code, and work on a 2.01? ( I know it won't on a 2.5/2.6 )

And yes, ISO's are one reason for kernel-mode, but not the only one. I just want to be able to use my PSP to its full potential. Plus, know that ISO's aren't necessarily illegal.

First off, the index.dat in 2.5 and 2.6 are unknown right now, so we can not change it to 1.00 and then run the 1.5 update like we did we MPH downgrader. And second, GTA can't access the flash, so there for there can be no altering the flash through this exploit, which means no downgrader for 2.5/2.6 anytime soon.

yup its not gonna happen for ISO's and for downgrading for the reasons stated...

i made an cool savegame thatl crash your NFSU:rivals, it tries to load it and says "load failed,corrupt file" than i expected it to bring me to the main menu or something but it froze at the loading screan... its the GTA load data, for the hello world app, converted so that NFSU could read it and try to load it...anyways see 4 urself.... its probably nothing but shmehh...

dont know if this was mentioned but i was just thinking and since the pspsetx V0.2 came out, there was a downgrade option. I was thinking that since it works on 2.0 and its an eboot, couldn't you use it in the GTA edison carder thing?

i like the guy said before, you cant downgrade anything past 2.01 because sony changed the index file in all the firmwares above 2.01 so you cant use a 2.00 donwgrader or im pretty sure you would brick your psp
