1. Is this chip a replacement for something? ie you take a part out put this part in?
2. Can you upgrade to 2.7 and still be able to play iso's and all homebrew?
3. Is it just a way to downgrade?
4. How does it work, and what does it do?
I dont really understand these mod chips, can someone explain alittle please |

1. no, its a stand alone component
2. Can you upgrade to 2.7 and still be able to play iso's and all homebrew?
You can upgrade to 2.7, but you cant play iso's from 2.7. The mod chip allows u to boot 1.5 AND 2.7, as in seperate boots. so 1.5 has iso compatability, but 2.7 doesnt. so you could choose which one u wanna load. Eg. load 2.7 to play real games that require 2.7, and also boot 1.5 and play iso's/homebrew off ur mem stick
3. Is it just a way to downgrade?
well, you can flash it to 1.5 if u want, so yes, it is a way to downgrade using hardware.
4. How does it work, and what does it do?
as stated above, it adds an extra memory etc for another firmware, so you can choose between 2, you can have 1 on the modchip and 1 onboard ur normal psp. eg, 1.5 on the modchip and 2.7 on ur psp
I dont really understand these mod chips, can someone explain alittle please
as above etc
