as many of u know the game locoroco came out and has sonys key in it. i moded the eboot to load on 2.5-2.6 it cause a shut down. it dosent say there was an error so maybe we can use this for something. i dont really know yet. dont flame me if this is nothing i was just messing with some files.
-u need to put the EBOOT in a folder callled UCJS10041
-2.7+ loads the game locoroco normal so waste of time to try
-causes ur psp to reboot

If there's one thing i've learned from Freeplay, it's that executing custom code, or executing a signed EBOOT from the wrong FW from the XMB is impossible. Sony's encryption ensures that EVERY byte in a signed EBOOT cannot be changed. It uses all sorts of methods to authenticate that the application is trustworthy.
Sorry Kiddies, without the encryption key, unsigned EBOOTS cannot be run from the XMB. Period. And don't try brute-forcing, the private key isnt stored on the PSP.
The PSP is shutting down because it has detected the corruption, and commited suicide in self defence. The only other POSSIBLE reason is that the EBOOT generated an error that screws up what it was trying to do and turned off. Much like when you are running, and you trip over a log, and hurt yourself, so you stop.
And no, this cannot be used to execute code.
Sorry to disappoint, but you're efforts are in vain. If we want XMB homebrew, it has to be a gift from sony. They are the only ones who can authenticate an EBOOT.
