| | | | If we could just get the 2.xx firmware to be able to run homebrew and make ISO's work, then you really wouldn't need a downgrade because you would be able to do everything a downgrade would enable you to do anyway. Seems to me the purpose of a downgrade IS to run homebrew, emulators, iso's, etc...Doesn't matter to me because we're all looking for the same result, to do with the PSP what we want to do and use it for whatever we want as we please. |

| | | | People, first of all, be reasonable. Downgrading is BAD for your PSP.
For 2.01+ users (yes that includes 2.50 and 2.60) downgrading is NOT possible!
Search the forums for info about the index.dat , and you will see.
Also, downgrading would be stupid, because 1,5 has little features, and though it can emulate them,
1- it will never be good as the real deal
2- Sony will keep fighting people to stop downgraders, and make life harder for actual homebrewers,
3- Sony will put version requirements on good games. So don't cry when GTA2 comes with 2.50 (or possibly more) requirement.
Downgrading is NOT the solution! Also, I know how much real games cost, I know it better than you, because in my country they cost around 100 dollars, but just getting out and buying them makes me feel good, and makes the developers feel good.If you want good games to come out, you need to buy games. ISO loading is illegal because it hurts people, it is stealing. If you feel it is right to use ISO's but have a 2.5 PSP, just go and mug someone, get 50 dollars from him, and buy the UMD. it's the exact same thing.
For people who want homebrew but no ISO, that's the way to go. We were promised a console that we could do anything on, we got it for a wh,le, but now we lost it due to those stupid UMD loaders/ISO things. It's really all their fault. Now Sony's paranoid and they're treating every single exploit as a possible ISO loader and we're getting constant useless upgrades.
Try to be smart, people.
And for the record: Homebrew WILL be possible for 2.01+ , but ISO loaders probably won't. HA.Go cry. |
