You have accepted me just too well in this forum when I needed your help, asking my noobish questions when I didn't even have the PSP. Thanks.
However, I now face a second problem...I just discovered my PSP is version 2.60, and I know that there aren't any ways of downgrading it to 2.0 or latter. I'll try to swap it with a 2.0 version so I can do all the downgrading and homebrewing things, but I'd like to know if there is ANYTHING homebrew I can run with this 2.6 version, like any emulator (nes, snes, whatever).
And could I run the iso's using that usb cable process from the PC in this version? This process seems kinda new to me, but it never mentions any kind of firmware limitations.
Thanks again, guys. You're awesome.

Yes, you CAN run homebrew on your 2.60 firmware, but any higher firmware will restrict this. However, to play homebrew, you need a copy of the Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories UMD. There was an exploit found in the gamesaves which allowed custom code to be executed. You'll need the eLoader from noobz.eu, and you can run almost any type of homebrew execpt for ISOs and Kernal mode requiring homebrew.
If you want my say in this, TRADE THE PSPs, 2.00 is highly valued these days, and all of us 2.01+ users would love some kind of exploit in the firmware, allowing us to downgrade as well.
Go for it, or you'll regret this for a very long time... |

Oh, and what about running the iso's using that usb cable process from the PC? Is it possible in this version? I already know how to do it, I just don't know if 2.60 supports it.

I say it's worth the wait, you'll agree when I say that 1.50s are far better than 2.60s. Heck, you can even emulate 2.50, with the Web Browser and everything! |

| | Junior Member | | | | | Also, I'd like to ask: what would happen if I tried to use an emulator, doing all the usual things the readme's tell me? I mean, I can pass it to the memory stick, right? And then, what happens that I can't play them?
Sorry for sounding too noobish - but that's what I am :P
