Exactly. its just the way the downgrader works.We should try to find a suitable enviorment as when it starts downgrading it uses the firmware. I sugets we edit the firmware to allow homebrew from the XMB.

To erase the firmeware you need to have flash0 access.

You should stop smoking weed.
Erasing the firmware is simply a call to the sceLflashFatFmtStartFmt function. It does not require opening files in WRITE mode on flash0. We cannot do that yet. We can format flash0, but not write to files.

Editing the firmware will only result in a bricked PSP, regardless of what you're editing. It's encrypted.
