DEVHOOK Not working!!

Hey, I recently downgraded my 2.5 PSP last night. I was told that this "DevHook" would allow me to switch from 1.5 to 2.5 and back whenever I want. I have followed the instructions here:

http://www.pspbrew.com/?page=downloa...ileInfo&d=1546

In the final step once I press "START" in the menu, it closes the program... sits there and after about 10s of a black screen, it shuts off. Still at 1.5... any help?

Thx in advance,
KillerHurdz.

Have you put the DATA.PSAR on the root of the MS, extracted it with Devhook installer, and then ran DEVHOOK?

? I assume you mean to save the extract to flash0? Well, I never installed anything to flash0, since I only got access to it today!
I am a little wary of the installer, thats why I dont run it again. Any process that access flash0 for that long makes me unwary!!! Its because my battery is a little odd, and can shutdown if I attach a charger :S
Anybody got this to work on a dg'ed 2.5/6?

I just used file assistant, and the 2.5 files arent i flash0 like they should be?!
Will fully charge and reinstall.

When you dump the data.psar, you are not writing to the flash, you're writing to the MS.

It is located in the MS0:\dh\200 (if you are using 2.0, if not, then it will be in your version number).

I am asking if you have 40mb free on your MS, so the installer will run that.

DEVHOOK CANNOT DAMAGE YOUR PSP, IT NEVER USES THE FLASH!

there have been numerous reports of people having problems with devhook running downgraded 2.6's, so pj1115 im sure the dev of CTU OS is competent enought to follow a tutorial..

I think it might be one of the side effects of downgrading, but since this is a v.new development nobody knows.

Devhook works fine. I have talked to many people, and none of them have had problems. If it worries them THAT much, they can update to 2.0 and downgrade. This way, no problems should occur.
