i have need for speed on umd but i want it as an iso so i found it and downloaded, its in .dax format and i played it fine for a while until my brother had a go and now i can't play it i'm only getting a black screen but the back light is still on, what am i doing wrong? maybe it's settings you tell me.

Just convert it to ISO or CSO with this tool and use devhook. It can convert ISO-CSO, and alot more. This tool isnt the newest version, but it works

you can as well emulate the firmware and play dit directly from the umd, that's what i'm doing, with this config:

umd select: umd disk
umd mount: umd disk
umd version: 2.xx->2.00
firmware: 2.50
cpu clock: 222mhz /111mhz
boot select: reboot xmb
