| | | | GTA:LC newer vesion: any news?
A few weeks ago someone discovered that a newer version of the game was being distributed, with the savegame exploit patched. What I know is that the first patched copies of the games were reported in june, and that there's no way of telling a new version from the older one by the box or the cover.
Are there any updates on the matter? Really no known differences in the box? Also, is it sure that every version of the game has been patched (US, UK, Germany,.....) or is there a somewhat safer bet? Thank you for any info. |

If I had bought a patched version, the first thing I'd try to do is sell it. You can already see on ebay auctions like "GTA in excellent condition, just opened and tried it once", which sound fishy. I *will* look for the game in a used games shop that allows me to try it before buying, but of course any info would be appreciated. Thank you anyway. |

If it was that easy, I wonder why somebody said that there's no way to recognize the new version without loading it.... but I would be glad to learn that, anyway 
And btw, one last thing I forgot to ask: is it correct that the newer version contains a compulsory 2.60 firmware update, while the older one had a 2.00 update?
