well, first you need to be able to run a HB on what ever FW you currently have, which is going to be 2.1+ or you wouldnt be having this problem. and at the moment they are just getting the most simple programs to run that do no changing of system info. not to mention that after you run this app you would need to be able to get back to the main menu or atleast run a file system program that could give you access to the memory stick to run the upgrade/downgrade.

so the file needs to be under the....i think 26kb size mark and has to be able to be able to run in the non-friendly HB fw.

im sure im missing something but mainly all i can say for sure is that when i read what you say it looks like its missing a vital step in being able to work.
