Alright, this was just on my mind, don't flame me for this, but. . . .

Don't you think Fanjitta and all of the people working on a hombrew/downgrader for 2.5 or 2.6 wasting time? I mean, the GTA: LCS thing, you have to have the game to use it and half the people I know don't even like Hello World.

It's messed up, they are porting Hello World onto a PSP while they can be using their hackful minds to make a homebrew/downgrader. . . anybody agree with me on this?

I can agree but if they can get homebrew on these firmwares alot of people would be very happy, i personally would perfer a downgrader.

I think that is what they are working on dude . The Hello World is basicly just proof of running unsigned code on a 2.01 ++ . And a downgrader needs to have access to the flash to work and that hasn`t been found in the GTA LCS savegame hack yet

Think of it this way...

Say you don't know how to run, but you know it's possible, and you want to learn. Which of these methods do you think would work best:

a) Go straight to the Olympic Games, and enter the marathon, or

b) Learn how to crawl, then walk, then jog, then maybe some short sprints.

Hello World is a starting point, a proof that it can be done. You learn what you can from making something like that, and then you apply it to larger projects. Without the stuff we've learnt from Hello World, and later Tetris, there would be no hope of any homebrew on 2.0+.

Incidentally, once I'd got my own private version of Hello World working, the very next thing I tried was a downgrader for 2.01. But it didn't work, and from what I learnt trying to make it work, I'm pretty convinced that it can't be done from within GTA. I might be wrong, and I hope so, but I don't think so.

Do you believe theres going to be a downgrader for the psp v2.60 soon with the progress that the hackers have made?

whats the point in a downgrader, with a downgrader you cant play gta or socom or mostnew games that will be released, we need homebrew on 2.00+ rather than going backwards

and stunt show some patience and gratitude for the people working hard for YOU! and asking nothing in return, they dont need to do it

Very true you need to start with the basics at any level. Gives you inspiration and ideas on figuring out the harder stuff, it's not all guess work!

Hi,i'm new to the scene,have got a uk 2.01.Highly annoying,but am confident in these guys ability to get homebrew and hopefully even a down grade for2.00+.Its all just a matter of time.Be patient!!!!

I am not confidant, as I currently believe that it is impossible. These are my thoughts. As they said, a downgrader will not be available through the GTA exploit, and I feel that a downgrader wont be possible anyway on 2.01 and up. This is just in my opinion.
