With that sound exploit thing. Someone tried something like that and their was code in the middle of the song but when it got to that point it just froze the psp. Nothing to much I think.

I would think if there was a TA-82 it would have at least a 2.6 firmware on it. There is a webpage that tells you how to figure out what firmware is installed by looking at the box. If it is indeed a 2.01 installed then you should have no worries about a TA-82 motherboard.

If i didn't have to get car repairs done i would go and buy a psp base pack

If i were to buy a new motherboard it would work out cheaper than getting the UP modchip!!! although I wouldn't be able to have the option to use two firmware versions and have a unbrickable psp...

http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=28867 there may be hope the first 2.71 homebrew although i think it just crashes the psp check it out... but yeah i think it just crashes the psp the guy prolly just made a normal eboot that doesnt run on a 2.71 and renamed it shutdown exploit so he would get credit but oh well it might make some happy
