Question about updates found on a UMD - PSP3D.com - Sony PlayStation Portable News, Homebrew, Hacks, Reviews, Videos, Mods, Forums

I just got my PSP this week so I'm quite curious about all of this homebrew stuff (and new to this scene). Anyway, I only have 2 games so far and I noticed that Tokobot gives me this option to update to 2.00 while Metal Gear Acid gives me no such option. Do games normally come with these updates? o.O

some games require updating and some games dont. its just another wau of sony convincing us to upgrade.

p.s. if you have a PSP with firmware 2.00 or below, DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU WANT TO PLAY HOMEBREW OR USE ISO LOADERS. You can check your firmware by going to settings, system information, and then browse the next few options because I forget where to go next.

Yea its just a way to make us update...... as said above dont upgrade past 2.0 if you want to play homebrew....just use a program to allow you to play games that require a higher FW and still keep your PSP for homebrew....

it all tricks ... with sony it like when they put a note in the uk psp pack that if u dont update 2 2.0 ur psp would break... it was some shit like da

Yea they are bloody scumbags telling us things like that.....but we learned....no more upgrading for us...(unless its something really frickin cool)

Im only upgrading if there's a java and flash player in one. Otherwise, I'll stick with homebrew and illlegal stuff.
